Signing up for new service? Our cooperative has many payment and billing options available to our members including our Prepaid 'pay-as-you-go' program. There's no credit check or deposit with Prepaid!
Our SmartHub account management gateway has a lot of tools that will make seeing and paying your bill easy and convenient. Use the SmartHub tools through the purple SmartHub button on our website or download the SmartHub app from your App store. It's a snap with the SmartHub app!
Personal information received through our online payment system will not be rented, sold, circulated or shared by Jasper County REMC with the exception of those elements necessary to conducting the core business of Jasper County REMC.
Our Prepaid payment option allows you to pay for electricity as you use it. The concept is similar to watching the gas gauge in your car. When the indicator shows that the gas is running low, you fill up the tank again. Now you can do that with electricity!
The Prepaid program is especially attractive for members who would prefer to avoid deposits, credit checks, reconnect fees and want the flexibility to pay what they want, when they want. There is also the added bonus that members who prepay, generally use less energy simply because they’re more aware of how much electricity they’re using.
The program can be used by new members and existing members and provides flexibilty to plan more accurate monthly budgets and make smaller, incremental payments. For example, if you only have $10 to put gas in your car, you pay $10. The same goes for prepaid electricity.
This is an automated process through our SmartHub tools that disconnects the service when the funds are gone and reconnects the service within minutes of making a payment. You can sign-up in SmartHub for automated notices of your low balance so you know when to pay and keep the power flowing. You will completely manage this program with your preferences through SmartHub on our website or in the app.
Payments are accepted 24/7/365 through SmartHub or our phone payment system. You can also pay at our office during business hours. There is a $25 sign-up fee to start filling up the tank and minimum payments are $5 to keep the electricity flowing.

(If you are a new member, you will need to fill out the Membership Form and this form if you want to use the Prepaid program.)
Sign up for Auto-Pay through the purple SmartHub button on our website or fill out this simple form. On a desktop computer? Download the form and fill it out on your computer. On a phone or tablet? Consider using a free mobile app (like Adobe Fill & Sign) to complete the form. If you choose to fill out the form, return it to us and we will automatically deduct your billing amount from the designated account each month. You will still receive a monthly billing statement (unless you choose not to receive a printed bill in SmartHub) with the information currently included on your bill. This statement will say "Auto-Pay" because the balance has been automatically deducted from your bank account or credit card. All withdrawals are made on the 17th of the month. If the 17th falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the withdrawal is made on the following business day.
*****AFTER YOU SIGN UP, YOUR AUTO-PAY WILL BEGIN WITH YOUR NEXT BILL.*****

If you like the idea of paying exactly the same amount each month for your electricity, then budget billing could be right for you.
At the end of the budget period — your June bill payable in July — your account will be settled up. If you owe any money, you will need to pay it by the due date. If you paid too much for the year, the overpayment will be credited to your account.
We determine the monthly bill by reviewing the kWh history at the location. Budget accounts are not allowed to go delinquent. If this should happen, you may be removed from the program.
Contact us to find out what your monthly budget bill would be and to see if you are eligible for the program.
You can sign-up for paperless billing in the SmartHub® payment and account management gateway. You will get an email or text when your bill is available to view through web, mobile or App so the co-op doesn't have to pay for envelopes, paper, printing and postage. And better yet, you can make your payment through SmartHub so your payment is applied immediately.
After you are in the SmartHub gateway, go to 'My Profile/Update My Printed Bill Settings/Click OFF' and you will be signed up for paperless billing. Then, go into 'Notifications/Billing/and choose your contact preferences.'
